Autumn Plein Air Artist Retreat
September 13-18, 2026 5 days/5 nights of Inspiration on the Northern California Coast – Designed for artists of all levels, this intimate retreat invites you to slow down, explore, and create in a setting that feels both expansive and deeply personal. With just 12–15 participants, each experience is thoughtfully guided and quietly supportive. Led in part by acclaimed plein air artist Mary Pettis, whose work captures the ever-changing light and landscape of the Northern California coast, the retreat offers both inspiration and expert guidance.

Spring and summer on the Mendocino Coast bring vibrant growth across the 2,200 private acres of The Inn at Newport Ranch. Our culinary program reflects the richness and diversity of the ranch through hyper-local ingredients sourced from land and sea, and we invite guests to experience that connection firsthand.
Stay two nights and embark on a four-hour guided UTV exploration across the ranch’s distinct microclimates. Learn to identify and forage seasonal edible plants and mushrooms alongside our knowledgeable team, then watch as your discoveries inspire a thoughtfully prepared meal highlighting the flavors of the ranch.Package Rate: $1,100 based on double occupancy (plus room rate, less 10% discount).
