Stanford Inn by the Sea

Experience Sonoma County

Timber Cove Resort is embracing summer with a season-long lineup of culinary, cultural, and coastal experiences along Sonoma County’s rugged shoreline. Highlights include a Fourth of July barbecue buffet and the Oceanic Global Short Film Festival July 5-9, which explores humanity’s connection to the ocean through film, expert talks, foraging experiences, and special dining activations.

Later in the summer, Wayfarer Week brings chef-led dinners, curated programming, and exclusive resort experiences July 27-31. Together, these events showcase Timber Cove’s unique blend of dramatic coastal scenery, thoughtful hospitality, and immersive nature-based experiences.

Wellness+ Nervous System Reset and Next Generation Azure Otter Ooutriggers Packages

Known as one of the country’s premier eco-resorts, Stanford Inn by the Sea continues to expand its wellness offerings with the introduction of Biofield Tuning at its Massage in the Forest Spa.

Led by Advanced Practitioner Joseph Goforth, who is certified through the Biofield Tuning Institute, the 90-minute treatment uses tuning forks applied within the body’s energetic field to support deep relaxation, emotional release, nervous system balance, and mental clarity. The treatment aligns with growing traveler interest in restorative wellness experiences rooted in mindfulness and holistic healing.

Additionally, The Stanford Inn’s on-site outfitter, Catch a Canoe & Bicycles Too, is also preparing for the future with the development of next-generation Azure Otter outriggers and catamaran canoes created specifically for the Big River Estuary. The new ultra-stable models — which accommodate between two and six people — are designed to be especially family-, pet-, and beginner-friendly, expanding access to one of the Mendocino Coast’s most scenic outdoor experiences.
